As we start this beautiful weekend, I thought I would share this photo with you.  The picture and explanation were sent to me by Maritza, one of our missionaries who plays a key role on my project in West Africa.  She also sends lots of photos and helps keep us grounded.

THE BEAUTY AND SIMPLICITY OF AFRICA.  THIS IS A TOY, MADE OF AN OLD CAN OF SARDINES..NOT AN MP4, OR MP5 OR ANYTHING FANCY LIKE THAT. THIS TAKES CREATIVITY, THIS TAKES INGENUITY, AND THE TOY IS APPRECIATED AND CARED FOR AND IT WON'T BE REPLACED BY A NEW ONE FROM TOYS-R-US THE FOLLOWING WEEK, WHEN THE CHILD GETS TIRED OF IT.
