When this old world starts getting me down...

And people are just too much for me to face
I climb way up to the top of the stairs
And all my cares just drift right into space

On the roof, it's peaceful as can be
And there the world below can't bother me....

My Friday classic oldie jam pick is

Up on the Roof
The Drifters 1962

What do you have planned for the weekend?

I don't have too much planned. Think I'll wash my hair and since it takes a couple of days to dry, I won't be planning to do anything where I need to look pulled together.

But, it's Ok because I had a really hard week at work.  Have any of you worked in a corporate setting for any length of time?  Have you noticed the changes?

I read a very interesting article about what it will be like to work in a corporate setting in the year 2022 (thank goodness I will be out by then).  If you will still be working or if you are just plain curious check out the article below.
and.....

How many of you remember this 1963 hit oldie, Up on the roof by The Drifters?
(be sure to click the link to listen to the song)

"Up on the Roof" is a song written by Gerry Goffin and Carole King and recorded in 1962 by The Drifters: released late that year, the disc became a major hit in early 1963, reaching #5 on the U.S. pop singles chart and #4 on the U.S. R&B singles chart.

Whatever you have planned (or don't)...Hope you enjoy your weekend?

now...anybody have a ladder?  I need to get up on the roof
