The story behind 'skin tight
Ordinarily I do not wear anything that is skin tight.  My style is a more classic.  It's kind of hard these days to buy a pair of jeans that doesn't have at least a little bit of stretch, hence you get a more fitted look (some might even say  a more 'comfortable' fit).  I am old school and I prefer straight levi type jeans. If they are a baggy fit, all the better in my eyes.  Not trying to show off anything anymore since my sexy card has expired!

So I went jean shopping the other day @ Nordy's.  I was looking for a new pair of straight leg jeans. I tried on several different styles (including the pair pictured below).  I finally found a pair of NYDJ (that's the only brand I buy these days) that were looser fit and I was all set to buy them when the sales consultant and a couple of other women who were also trying on clothes, chimed in and told me that they were much too big around my ankles.  They said the jeans resembled more of a boyfriend jean (which was exactly what I was looking for) than a straight leg jean.  They all sang the praises of the skinny ankle jean.  I wasn't really sold on them and even asked the sales consultant to get me a size larger (which she warned that I would regret once the jeans stretched)   I have never owned a pair of jeans that fit my thin ankles or ones that stuff nicely into my boots.  So I bit!  I bought them and brought them home.  I had every intention of returning them. Tight and distressed?  That is a no-no for older women per the 'rules'.   The more I thought about them the more I was sure that I had made a BIG mistake.

Well, as you can see by the pictures, I still have the jeans.  After trying them on at home and experimenting with several different shoes and tops, I guess I'll keep them.  I'm not sold on the look with the heels but I definitely like stuffing them in my boots.

I guess this is a good example of  - living life on my own terms!
