Here's come the weekend wrap up and my Friday classic oldie jam pick

Year of the Cat
Al Stewart (July 1976)

It's Friday. Yippee right?

I'm sure most of you are tickled pink.

Not me.  Friday signifies the end of my vacation (very sad face)  When I return to work on Monday, I will have been off for 10 1/2 days!  You would think that would be enough.  NEVER! and WHY does it only seem like yesterday??

Oh well, it's not quite over yet.  I still have 3 days to enjoy.

What do you have planned for the weekend?

Having fun with my fold over maxi skirt from The Gap
On My Agenda

Friday - an appointment to help a good friend create her first blog.  I'm flattered to have been asked.

Saturday - starts with a trip to the Genius Bar at the Apple Store on Sat to see what's up with my (sick) iMac.  Grabbed the ONLY appointment left in my area. Feeling lucky!

Oh, we also have a phone appointment on Saturday to speak with one of the expats bloggers that we have been following.  He and his wife are boomers who have been living in Costa Rica for the last 6 years.  They also live by the beach in the same area that we are considering moving to.  We have a ton of questions to ask. Very excited for the opportunity!!!

Followed by SOCCER! 3rd place up for grabs. Go BRAZIL
Party at my place!

Sunday -  another sports party and MORE SOCCER - Finals of the World Cup.
GO ARGENTINA!

Year of the Cat album cover

How many of you remember this 1976 hit oldie, Year of the Cat by Al Stewart
(be sure to click the link to listen to the song)

I didn't have any particular reason for choosing this song for my oldie jam pick this week. I just like it!   You may remember the tune but not the artist.

Alastair Ian "Al" Stewart born 5 September 1945 is a Scottish singer-songwriter and folk-rock musician who rose to prominence as part of the British folk revival in the 1960s and 1970s.  He developed a unique style of combining folk-rock songs with delicately woven tales of characters and events from history.

He is best known for his 1976 hit single "Year of the Cat", the title song from the platinum album of the same name was written as tribute to well known British comedian named Tony Hancock.

Whatever you have planned (or don't)...Hope you enjoy your weekend?
