Farewell Joe
Street Life remains one of my favorite songs by The Crusaders. I chose it for my Friday oldie jam pick this week because one of the writers, Joe Sample, passed away on Sept 12 at the age of 75.

Joe Sample, who was the piano player formed The Crusaders. He died from complications due to lung cancer. He will be missed.

How many of you remember this 1979 hit oldie, Street Life
by The Crusaders?

Street Life is a studio album by the American jazz band The Crusaders. It was a top 20 album on three Billboard charts and represents the peak of the band's commercial popularity. The title track, featuring singer Randy Crawford, was a Top 40 pop single (#36) and became the group's most successful entry on the soul chart (#17). "Street Life" also hit the disco chart, peaking at #75.

What are doing this weekend?
We are driving to Santa Rosa on Sunday to see my little niece Nia and help to celebrate her 2nd birthday! Looking forward to it.

Whatever you have planned (or don't)...Hope you enjoy your weekend.
