I've had a lot of fun selecting outfits even if being in front of my own camera was often trying. I learned a lot about myself, my style and my body. However a part of my reason for writing this blog was to express more than just fashion and style.
Because I call this a fashion blog I often felt it was inappropriate to delve into other areas and other topics of interest to me. I told myself that the blog was written for me, but I started to get caught up and worried about who was reading. I began to feel stifled.
That's crazy!
At 65 I am beginning a new, exciting adventure. Act three and the best is yet to come! With retirement and relocation on the horizon I am yearning to express other parts of myself that did not fit into the fashion box. Don't get me wrong, I still LOVE fashion but I feel I have become a slave to fashion. My closet is way too full and I buy way too many clothes.
To move to Costa Rica I will need to live a more simple life and I want to live a more purpose filled life.
"Happiness is not found in the abundance of possessions. It is a decision we make each morning."Screw the stats!
I've decided to take my own advice and
change direction
So, right now I am working on a blog redesign - new look and new topics. When I return I will open the blog to include body mind, travel, style and some vlogging (starring me) and what ever else I am thinking, feeling or is in the news.
Hope you'll stick around
I will be back in a few weeks to unveil the new blog!
and....
In the meantime, since it's Throwback Thursday
I leave you with this picture of me from "back in the day"
As always,
Thank you for reading!
